Notes:
1.) Deferred Contributions to Restricted Funds are
InterFund Transfers from General Fund which receives
income from book sales. Each book has a unique formula
for apportioning its income. See Product Accounts
2) Contributions and Transfers to Assets
are not Deferred, but apply to immediate or outstanding
Expenses related to equipment or leased services.
See Expenses, Revenue, Contributions
In 2003, interfund transfers from General funds to Capital Assets consists
of 2 emergency payments. "Paypal US$37" (=CA48.00) had
to be disposed of before a deadline to close the Paypal
account, so it was paid to SFAinc Member Karen Shelton
for leased web facility. This amount was deducted from
her Contribution of web facility. Another $30 was drawn
from available cash (General Fund) to pay a Canada
Corporations Directorate fee required within less
than 30 days of notice, and which I had failed to
anticipate.
For Assets summary see Statement of Financial
Position.
3.) Numbers for previous years will be added soon.
4.) SF Fund - Some Contributions and Bank Charges must be
ascertained to provide a complete 2003 record. However, the
Year End Balance 2003 for Skyrock Forest Fund is the actual
current balance.
5.) Inventory is a significant part of Capital Assets. However,
"Book Print/ship" expense is only recorded under Materials & Services
from General Funds. We probably need to change this.
6.) Write-Down Inventory. Mainly due to the passing of time,
the real value expectation of books was reduced:
27 books reduced from $10 to $5 .... -135
630 books reduced from $2 to $1 .... -630
Current inventory = $615.
