Guidelines

Range of interest may be thought of as the realm of Artemis, who was the ancient Greek goddess of Spring.

The spirit of springtime and youth, youthful expressions, hope, innocence, beauty, green, plants and animals, nature, magical or fantasy quality of nature, faeries, the spiritual meaning of nature, the forest and forest craft.

We have a special interest in Trees, and in wild/native medicinal herb Plants.

Formula

1. Concept
- subject or topic of book - where the written contents and illustrations (if any) will come from
- ability of the book to reach a market audience of readers.

2. Good Cause
A good cause is chosen for the book to support with profits. The cause should be one that appeals to the market audience of potential readers for that particular book concept. note: All books must include a contribution to the Skyrock Forest 2147 Project.

3. Funding
Someone has to contribute, or loan, start-up costs for the first print run. This can be under $300. Publicity and marketing involves some additional costs, which vary with the project's intentions and available resources. If the start-up contribution is a loan, the loan is recovered on a percent-of-sales-income basis. When more copies are desired to be printed, the loan must be re-invested, unless another source of capital is found.

4. Pre-press work
Assembly of contents, editing, design, cover design, are done by volunteer talents.

5. Sales
Publicity and sales are done by volunteer talents. At present sales consists of various small internet, or local event venues, and personal contacts.
